The goal of this project was to create branding, content and a functional, coded website for a fictional company, using Agile methodology. Sufficient Grounds was a group assignment in my Project Management course, completed while I was attending BCIT's New Media Program.

is a branding and web design group project created for a Project Management class while attending BCIT.
This project was developed using the Agile Project Management method.
The fictional company that we chose to design for, was an independent, locall Vancouver coffee shop.
While developing the coffee shop's branding, I considered the target market. Vancouver is known for its trendy plant-filled coffee shops, therefore, as a local coffee shop, I moved away from more professional looking logo designs, and experimented with more funky styles, that would appeal to a more alternative crowd.
The final logo is a line-art style hand offering a single glowing coffee bean, reminiscent of flash tattoo styles, while also evoking religious iconography or mystic symbolism.
The logo design was the definitive first step that structured the remaining branding design, once I had that first piece, the remaining design elements came to me quickly.

I used gathered images of cafés and mocked up Sufficient Grounds logos and signage to create a realistic store location. I created multiple retail product mockups to feature on the website’s online store as well as designed a short animation video to display as a banner on the home page.

I created a variety of custom, coffee-related illustrations for use on merchandise, packaging and other branded materials.
