is an app prototype with the purpose of assisting users in their personal or spiritual meditation practice by offering a variety of guided meditation sessions, soothing music and the ability to track their progress.
The app’s interface was designed to minimize distractions and interruptions to the user’s routine by incorporating aesthetically pleasing, calming visuals and a darker color scheme to reduce screen stimulation.
I began branding design by gathering imagery that evoked meditation themes and feelings of serenity so that I could keep colors in mind while sketching logos. The logo chosen by the team was a fine-line and geometric, lotus and moon symbol that was inspired by the chakra symbols found in Hinduism and Buddhism, the spiritualities that originated meditative practice. The lotus evokes tranquility and overcoming obstacles, while the moon shape symbolizes stages of growth, like the phases of the moon, as well as the unconscious mind and illumination. The logo is unintrusive and reserved and aligns with the app’s theme of fostering self-care and inner peace.
